War Saw (Warsaw) skate shoes ... prosze?

Updated 8 October 2024:

Rumour has it that, according to an Instagram post from ~1 September 2024 by Jamie Thomas' new skate shoe company "War Saw", said company will have at least some vegan options ... namely a slip on and an "all black mid".

Most of the shoes, however, seem to be made from pig skin ("pig suede"). The shoes are made in China. Pigs slaughtered in China for your skate shoes, the usual.

"Pig suede is super durable." Jamie Thomas ... and more animals have to die for the same number of shoes. Even the insoles have a pig suede liner (!).

The company is also called "War Saw Ltd". Is this not the worst name to search and find online?

Isn't this the worst time to start a skate shoe brand? (worst, apart from the near future, I mean)

Chances are low that The Chief will turn his back on the imaginary beings and / or that he will cease to turn his back on animals.

Note 1: The company name seems to be "War Saw" but sort of also "Warsaw" (?).

Note 2: Ed Templeton seems to be involved with War Saw in some kind of collab - which could explain the vegan option.

--- There is going to be a vegan Ed Templeton shoe. --- [Nine Club #341]

Ed Templeton model, "War Saw" (or Warsaw), black/black, vegan suede, retails at 110 US dollars ... available only in the US and several shops in England
There's also an Ed Templeton vegan, black slip-on, as well as an Ed Templeton hoodie, crewneck sweatshirt, and T-shirt. And several limited edition (150 each) Ed Templeton decks.

"[...] the pig suede and suede and the synthetic suede, in my opinion, are more durable than a cow suede." Jamie Thomas (cow suede is the most commonly used suede for skate shoes)

Note 3: Danny Garcia (aka Reverend Baron) and Austin Stephens seem to be involved in War Saw. And Matt Costa (skate pro turned musician) too! They are not the team, because War Saw does not have a skate team, but rather something like models (?) or associates (?).

Note 4: War Saw, not be confused with the "Warsaw Sneaker Store".

Note 5: Despite the name being War Saw, I would still think it's a reference to the Joy Division song "Warsaw". Update: Apparently, Joy Division was called "Warsaw" before.

Note 6: Not to be confused with the Vox skate shoes "Warsaw" shoe.

Note 7: Apparently, there is a song by Rancid called "Warsaw". Did JT know?

Conclusion: I would most definitely buy the Ed Templeton shoes - and probably an array of the other Templeton paraphernalia - but, unfortunately, I'm not in Nottingham.
