Suit makers: Make a suit vegan.


Men's suits are very often made from wool (or including wool). The animals producing the wool (typically sheep or goats) sooner or later are killed in the process. Frequently they are also hurt (or even mutilated, google "mulesing") during the shearing process. This violence towards animals is unnecessary, and therefore morally dubious. 
Silk is also often used in suit making. Silk worms are killed for silk. It's unclear, but it's possible that silk worms can suffer.    
Note: Animal-derived materials such as horn or mother of pearl are frequently used in men's suit jackets (see below).

When considering potential alternatives to wool in fashion many might think "plastic". Plastic as in polyester or nylon, plastic as in tacky and not upmarket. If someone raised you right (or not) Lard's "polyester suit Nazis will control the world" might come to mind.
Whatever comes to your mind (maybe environmental concerns, too) it is morally questionable if environmental concerns, or fashion preferences can justify causing unnecessary suffering to others. Even if this pribble-prabble about animal ethics does not interest you. there are more and more consumers [!] that ask for vegan suits. 
Note that the buttons might also be made from materials of animal origin. 

Non-animal alternatives to wool:
- cotton
- linen 
- polyester or nylon (synthetic)
- rayon (including cupro and viscose; made from regenerated cellulose) 

Nice suits can be made from non-animal materials. See the following examples:
